It may have been a cold and rainy New Year’s Eve celebration in New York City, but Encaff Energy Stix ™ provided just the boost needed to handle the elements.
Encaff staff members handed out over 30,000 free samples of the black cherry-flavored caffeine powder in partnership with Duane Reade ™ drugstores. Encaff Energy Stix ™ proved a huge hit not only with thousands of revelers but also veteran New York police officers and Pedi-cab bicycle operators working furiously that night.
“This is just what I needed to get through a night like tonight,” was one direct quote provided by a police officer to Encaff staff managers. Several other officers noted the convenient portability of the packets, adding “[they] were the perfect thing to have with them on the job.”
The Encaff Energy Stix packets proved especially popular among the 18- 25 age consumer group, many of whom asked for more than one sample—some wanting three or four. Each of the 23 Encaff staff members handed out over 300 sample packets of Energy Stix and managers reported an overall feeling of “nostalgia” among those who sampled the product. Many consumers told staff members that Encaff Energy Stix reminded them of Pixie Stix from their childhood—even though Energy Stix are only 10 calories and provide no sugar crash.
Among the other comments recorded that evening by Energy Stix recipients:
- "I am a caffeine junkie! I love that I can carry a bunch of these at a time if I want to - you never know when you're going to need a pick-me-up!"
- "Tasted great. I had it a half a block ago and I'm still enjoying it."
- "This is perfect for a night like tonight! Thank you!"
- "I need more if I'm going to make it through tonight. Where can I get them?"
Outdoor vendors also reported that they loved that the product did not require any water to mix and could be enjoyed straight from the packet by pouring the powder on their tongues.
